Christa Agoawike

Work Learn Student

Christa Agoawike is a fourth-year science student studying biology and oceanography with a minor in Health and Society, who will be working in the Bioimaging Facility as a worklearn student. They’ve worked on research projects with multiple graduate students within the Department of Botany, analyzing algae using SEM and identifying organelles using image processing software. During their degree, Christa has developed an appreciation for biology's flexibility, allowing them to learn many techniques such as microscope maintenance, protocol writing, and a plethora of lab skills. In the future, Christa hopes to pursue further graduate studies, whether through medical school or another medium such as R&D in the biomedical sector, to increase equity in healthcare and ensure equal representation in medical analysis. In their free time, Christa enjoys LEGO building, reading novels, and astronomy.
